Upon hearing about skin care routine, people often think about removing excess oils, sheen, and moisture. However, in its perfect condition, our skin is designed to remain well lubricated and oiled in order to protect what’s inside while combatting the effects of external stressors. Unfortunately, our outermost layer - particularly the face, chest, and hands - are exposed to a wide variety of assailants, including harmful UVA and UVB rays, freezing temperatures, and free radicals. It’s no surprise that our natural oil and lipid production can’t keep up with this wild environment we live in.
